Stormyweather Banks
Stormyweather Banks is an award winning Wedding Dress Designer and creator of the Stormyweather Doll Collection. In 1984, while designing a wedding dress, her client asked her to design a doll.This became her new found passion and the doll journey began. Each of her dolls are named after a family member. Simply looking at them and imagining what they may be thinking wasn't enough, so the dolls come with a story regarding characteristics of each relative. Stormyweather collection also includes hand sewn painted pillow, sculpted bust, and folk art paintings.Stormyweather personally paints each and every detail of her collection. Currently Stormyweather is a High School Fashion Design Teacher where she shares her creativity with her students. Stormyweather earned a degree in Fashion Design at Brooks Fashion College Long Beach Ca. before evolving into a full-time Artist, she taught at south Omaha College Nebraska, and Cerritos Jr. College Ca. Stormyweather doll journey has taken her to Honduras, Paris France, and Hawaii to name a few. Stormyweather was born in Beaumont TX. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband Waymond Banks and the two youngest of six sons.
